IronPlanet arrives in Orlando to offer online auction solutions.
Once upon a time, IronPlanet and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers were rivals when it came to kicking off the auction season in Orlando. IronPlanet conducted its own auction and the two companies battled in the auction sphere.
That's all changed.
Ritchie Bros. and IronPlanet joined forces officially in 2017 to better serve customers. The union has been greatly benefitted customers, who are looking for more choice when it comes to buying and selling equipment at auctions. This year, at Orlando 2018, the two companies debuted as one entity and you can feel the buzz as IronPlanet staff donned their new orange shirts.

Earlier this year, we acquired the Oklahoma-based collector car auctioneer Leake Auction Company. To celebrate and promote the acquisition, we are selling five Leake Auction cars in our Orlando auction this week: a 1970 Shelby GT350 Fastback, a 1941 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special, a 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible, 2007 ASM T Bucket, and a 1952 MG (see photos of cars below).
All the Leake cars will sell in Orlando this Thursday, February 22, at approximately 12 noon.
Leake will actually have their own auction this week as well in Oklahoma City, where they will sell 400 vehicles over two days (February 23 & 24). The auction will be held at the Bennett Event Center and includes a 1912 Ford Model T, a 1919 Cadillac Model 57, a 1955 Thunderbird, a 1967 Corvette, and much more.
